The primary function of the Health Informatics Analyst (HIA) is to champion the outpatient clinics’ electronic health record (EHR) application and other clinic based systems, train and provide technical support to the clinic support staff and providers, resolve process issues with the EHR, develop and streamline reporting, and promote enhanced system functionality including development, implementation and continuation of outpatient clinical quality programs. This position is part of a team-based approach in providing patient-centered care. The incumbent understands the clinical support needs from the health information system (HIS), and has the technical knowledge to leverage the EHR to meet clinic requirements, including making modifications to the software.
