Description: Assist with the nursing care of patients preoperatively, intraoperatively, and postoperatively by performing routine and delegated duties according to the standards of the department and hospital practice and policies, Responsible for the preparation, disbursement of surgical supplies, equipment, and instrumentation pre, intra, and post-operatively,Demonstrates knowledge of principles of asepsis.,Demonstrates knowledge of the standards of AORN guidelines, Assumes responsibility for clinical competence and professional development., Takes call as required by the department, Maintains competenices in main OR as well as the CVOR Schedule Notes:Days; 6:15A-2:45PSkills: Demonstrate sound judgment, patience and maintain a professional demeanor at all time,Ability to work in a busy and stressful environment,Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize,Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, Electronic medical records software , Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, Creativity, problem analysis and decision making, Ability to work varied shifts Required SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY EXCEL ELECTRONIC MEDICAL RECORDS CARDIOVASCULAR Additional INSTRUMENTATION DISBURSEMENT ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLSEducation: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
