Shift: 8-5 M-F w/ rotating call 8-5 M-F w/ rotating call 5×8 Hr
Description: The Echocrdiographer/Echo Tech performs echocardiography procedures on patients. Selects and uses transducers according to anatomy; differentiates normal and abnormal structures; assures that sufficient information has been acquired to provide diagnosis. Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results. Enters, transmits and reports scan results. Major responsibilities include: Reviews patient history and physician’s orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation. Our Echocardiogram team performs TEEs, TTEs, Stress Echo, Adult Echo, LVAD, Device Optimization, TAVR, LAA, MitraClip and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate act. Schedule Notes:8-5 M-F w/ rotating callSkills: Candidate must have a minimum two (2) Echo Tech or Cardiac Sonographer experience AND two (2) years prior Cardiology experience in a hospital setting.Candidate must demonstrate competencies in the below areas: Ultrasound (2D, M-Mode, Color Flow, Doppler Echo and Transesophageal Proficient in Structural Heart and LAA imaging Ability to communicate effectively Ability to work in a team environment Basic computer skillsCandidate must have: Excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills. Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions and demonstrate maturity and accountability. Ability to perform work when no directions are given and give directions to others. Ability to remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful or crisis situations. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment or programs used in the organization, knowledge of Epic a plus! Required MULTITASKING TEAM PLAYER CLIENT COMMUNICATION COMPUTER DATA ENTRY AdditionalEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Completion of an Accredited Ultrasound Program and/or ARDMS or CCI required. ARRT (Ultrasound), CCI or ARDMS required.BLS required.ACLS preferredAssociate Degree/Bachelor Degree highly preferred.;Languages: English Read Write Speak English(Speak , Read , Write)Job Category: Clinical-Travel
