Description: This is the pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay someone for this position, however, as a supplier your expected pay range may differ: $80.00/hour-$100/hour Benefits: It is recommended that employers include a general description of any health or compulsory benefits for compliance with Pay Transparency laws. EXPERIENCE: Five years critical care experience procedure experience preferred. EDUCATION: Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program. BSN preferred. REQUIRED LICENSURE CERTIFICATIONS: Current California RN license BLS ( AHA) ACLS ( AHA) Performs Patient Assessment According to Hospital/Unit Performs initial assessment appropriate to the patient s clinical assentation/diagnosis, care setting, age, development level, and cultural and religious orientation in a timely manner as it pertains to diagnostic testing/scheduled procedure. Performs completely and accurately including, but not limited to, physical (i.e. assessment for pain, skin breakdown, risk for falls), psychological (i.e. cognitive and communicative skills or development), social status and other patient needs prior, during and post invasive diagnostic testing/ procedure. Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient s clinical presentation/diagnosis and tolerance of diagnostic testing/scheduled procedure. Reports normal findings or values to the physician(s) – Collaborates with the anesthesiologist and specialist- Planning: Develops a Patient Plan of Care That: Is individualized for each patient based on assessment of needs that include input from the patient, family and other multi-disciplinary health care team members. Pre-screens patient lab work, mobility, allergies, and medication history prior to invasive diagnostic testing/ procedure.Identifies specific nursing diagnosis is relevant to assessment findings. Includes plan for discharge/transfer Implementation: Performs interventions identified specific to the patient s individual needs to ensure safe, successful invasive diagnostic testing/ procedure. Demonstrates the ability to effectively communicate patient care needs to all members of the multidisciplinary health care team. Conducts patient/family education that: Documents nursing intervention and patient teaching. Evaluates and documents the patient s response to the invasive diagnostic testing/ procedure. Revises and updates the Plan of Care as evidenced by documentation. Documents patient s response to teaching. Core Competencies: Follows the five rights of medication administration and maintains transcription accuracy. Administers blood products per hospital policy. Administers IV therapy per hospital policy. Able to function effectively during an emergency patient care situation.Demonstrates knowledge of appropriate interventions regarding the use of restraints per hospital policy.Assumes responsibility for maintaining a high level of clinical expertise and adapts to new information, technology, and changing trends in nursing practice. Performs waived testing following hospital policy. Maintains required certifications. Special Procedures/Cath Lab Clinical Proficiency: Demonstrates the ability to utilize monitoring system, assess findings, intervene as indicated and evaluate. Demonstrates knowledge of Moderate Sedation policy and demonstrates expertise in providing as ordered.
