Description: BSA Health is an extensive hospital system providing clinical excellence to the Texas Panhandle and the Tri-State area. BSA is acclaimed for its superior quality and customer service.Accountable for the health status and for health needs of patients based upon interpretation of health data and preventative health practices in collaboration with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members.Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.Direct or supervise less-skilled nursing or healthcare personnel or supervise a particular unit.Monitor all aspects of patient care, including diet and physical activity.Instruct individuals, families, or other groups on topics such as health education, disease prevention, or childbirth and develop health improvement programs.Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients’ responses and conditions.Conduct specified laboratory tests.Observe nurses and visit patients to ensure proper nursing care.Prepare patients for and assist with examinations or treatments.Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient’s condition.Skills: ExperiencePrevious acute care experience preferredPrevious Rehab experience a plus EducationGraduate of accredited School of Nursing Certification/LicensesCurrent RN LicenseAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support Certification Skills & Abilities PreferredPosition requires fluency in English language to function in job environment appropriatelyMust exhibit desire to exemplify the BSA culture, including the BSA Mission, Vision and the BSA WayGood interpersonal and customer service skillsGood organizational and follow-through skillsAbility to multi-task constantly and tolerate interruptionsAbility to give directions to othersAssist with the plan of care, evaluate and coordinate care with other disciplinesCommunicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team Required REGISTERED NURSE Additional EPICEducation: Compliance RequirementsComply with regulatory requirements, guidelines, and policies of the hospital.
