Responsible for the operation and maintenance of decontamination equipment. Undertakes manual cleaning of instruments and equipment to remove contaminates. Retrieves contaminated supplies and delivers sterile supplies to where needed. Responsible for setting up of case carts for the Operating Room after consulting its schedule and requisitions. Responsible for monitoring biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistence for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment. Participate in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental philosophy and objectives.
